• Right of access - to request confirmation of whether we process your personal data, and to obtain a copy of it.
• Right to correction - to request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Right to object to direct marketing - to require us, at any time, to stop using your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
• Right to restrict processing - to request that we limit how we use your personal data in certain circumstances.
• Right to rectification - to request that we correct, block, erase, or destroy inaccurate or incomplete personal data relating to you.
• Right to withdraw consent - where processing is based on your consent, to withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
• Right to lodge a complaint - to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) if you believe your rights under the Act have been infringed.

Data Security
Ignite Innovations implements commercially reasonable administrative, technical, organizational, and operational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, alteration, loss, destruction, or other unlawful processing. These safeguards may include:

• Password and authentication measures
• Operational monitoring
• Administrative procedures
• Vendor and platform controls
• Reasonable cybersecurity practices
While we strive to maintain appropriate safeguards, no method of electronic transmission, internet communication, or digital storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users therefore provide information at their own discretion and risk.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Notice, and in accordance with the following expected retention periods:
• Website analytics and usage data (e.g., IP addresses, device identifiers, browsing activity): up to 24 months from the date of collection, or longer where needed to support an active security or fraud investigation.
• Inquiries, consultation requests, and leads that do not result in an engagement: up to 24 months from the date of last contact.
• Customer, transaction, and service engagement records (e.g., invoices, purchase records, engagement correspondence): for the duration of the business relationship and for up to six (6) years thereafter, to meet accounting, tax, and legal record-keeping obligations under Jamaican law.
• Marketing communication preferences and consent records: until you withdraw consent or opt out, and for a reasonable period thereafter to demonstrate compliance.
• Information related to disputes, complaints, or legal claims: for as long as necessary to resolve the matter and to comply with applicable limitation periods.
Where a specific period is not indicated above, we retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice. Information that is no longer required is securely deleted, anonymized, archived, or otherwise disposed of in accordance with reasonable business and operational practices.
Data Controller Registration
Ignite Innovations has completed the internal steps required to register as a Data Controller under the Data Protection Act, 2020. Formal registration with the Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) will be finalized upon resumption of the OIC's registration processing, which the OIC has publicly announced has been temporarily paused since December 1, 2025 to allow for upgrades to its online registration portal. This section will be updated to reflect our registration number once formal registration is complete.
International Data Processing
Depending on the platforms and service providers utilized in connection with our Services, information may be processed, transferred, or stored outside of Jamaica. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers are made only to jurisdictions or providers that offer an adequate level of protection for your personal data, or under appropriate contractual safeguards, consistent with the Act.

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, products, or services that are not owned or controlled by Ignite Innovations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, policies, security, or content of external websites or third-party services. Users are encouraged to review the privacy notices and policies applicable to those external platforms before submitting information.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed toward children under the age of 13, and Ignite Innovations does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child in a manner inconsistent with this Privacy Notice, reasonable steps will be taken to remove such information.
Changes to This Privacy Notice
Ignite Innovations reserves the right to modify, revise, or update this Privacy Notice at any time to reflect changes in our operations, technologies, services, legal obligations, or business practices.
